Hope Sings The Tune
Hello and welcome to The Bright Fields – an adventure in friendship, positivity and hope.
We are Sharon and Gill, two creatives from the north of Ireland. Feeling a bit marooned by the emotional storms of 2020, we embarked on a journey to design a simpler life by sending images of positivity into the world.
Our name is inspired by the RS Thomas poem, The Bright Field – a reminder that some of the most beautiful moments can be found in the simplest of things.
We love Emily Dickinson’s poem, “Hope” is the thing with feathers. To take an abstract feeling or idea and liken it to something physical, visible, and tangible is a perfect metaphor for how we see the world.
Gill is a professional writer and forest bathing guide. Sharon works in music and creative strategy. Both of us have worked in design throughout our careers. What we share is a desire to replace some of the world’s despair with a smile, a pause, a good cry even – anything that celebrates the beautiful moments when and how they come.
